Why Beads?

The Carnival Condom Bead meets all the standards set forth by the writing of the Campus HIV Prevention Strategies: Planning for Success.

1. Messages need to be delivered by various channels including people, technology, mass media, and the classroom.

The Carnival Condom Bead uses a combination of people, product sampling and permission email marketing to promote its message to young adults.

2. Messages need to be integrated into broader health context. From a marketing stand point, it is more effective to reach your audience with different messages rather than promoting a stand alone program.

The Carnival Condom Bead has the ability to promote a wide range of positive health related issues to young adults. We can promote AIDS awareness, pregnancy prevention, and alcohol awareness at the same time.

3. Messages need to be promoted in a positive way. They must be simple, truthful, consistent, and highlight the norm of moderation.

The Carnival Condom Bead’s trademark slogan “Live the Life Style!” accomplishes this standard practice. Our message promotes a simple message that is consistent and truthful.

4. Messages must be appropriate for cultural diversity.

The Carnival Condom Bead is appropriate for most settings. With our patented packaging, our product can be passed out without interference. The product comes in various colors, and hides the condom from plain view of children or people who may be offended.

5. Messages should be able to bring real life relevance to educate young adults in the classroom. Messages should be promoted to reach people who may not have regular access to facts about diseases that may affect their lives.

The Carnival Condom Bead promotes real life relevance issues that affect college students in an entertaining way. The Carnival Condom Bead can reach people who may not have regular access to health issues because their curriculum does not require it.

The Carnival Condom Bead has been proven to be more effective than brochures and flyers to reach students about STD awareness. Study the photos above. In the first photo you see how the students are just not interested in stopping to receive a flyer. the ones that do stop quickly discard it in the trash or on the ground.

In the middle photo, you see some students who were offered the Carnival Condom Bead instead of a flyer and notice how they not only took the bead, but immediately put it around their neck and started to study the information contained in the pouch.

The last photo shows some students who are actually taking the time to read the information contained in the pouch. We have successfully reached out to our target audience!
